While tracking individual relationships is key, understanding your engagement with an entire organization is a strategic advantage. Klipy automatically creates and enriches Company Profiles, rolling up every contact and interaction into a single, comprehensive view.

How Company Profiles are Created and Enriched

Klipy intelligently creates company profiles without any manual work from you.

  1. Automatic Detection: When a new contact is added, Klipy analyzes their email address. If it uses a non-generic domain (e.g., anything other than @gmail.com or @outlook.com), Klipy identifies it as a company domain.

  2. Profile Creation: A new company profile is created based on that unique domain (e.g., the domain acmecorp.com creates the "Acme Corp" profile).

  3. Automated Enrichment: Klipy then enriches this profile by automatically searching B2B databases and the web to pull in valuable firmographic data, such as the company's logo, description, industry, employee count, social media links, and more.

Navigating the Company View

You can access a company's profile in two primary ways:

  • From the Companies Page: Navigate to the main "Companies" section of the app to see a list of all organizations in your Rolodex.

  • From a Contact's Profile: Simply click the company name "badge" or link displayed on any associated contact's profile to jump directly to their organization's page.

Understanding the Company Page Layout

The Company Page gives you a complete overview of your relationship with the organization.

The Main Pane: Activity and People

The left side of the page is dedicated to aggregated activity. It contains several tabs:

  • Timeline: This is the master view. It shows a combined, chronological timeline of every interaction—emails, meetings, notes, and more—that you and your team have had with every contact at that company.

  • Team: Click this tab to see a list of all the individual contacts from your Rolodex who are associated with this company.

  • Email / Follow-ups: These tabs allow you to filter the main timeline to see only specific types of interactions.

The "About" Panel: Company Details

The right-hand panel displays all the key information about the company itself. This includes the enriched data Klipy finds, such as:

  • Domain and Company Name

  • Description

  • Primary Industry

  • Estimated ARR and Employee Range

  • Location (Country, Region, Address)

  • Social Profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

Managing Company Profiles

You have full control over your company records.

  • Editing: Just like with contacts, you can edit any field in the "About" panel. Double-click the field to turn it into an editable input, make your changes, and it will save automatically. You can also change the primary domain associated with the company.

  • Deleting: Company records can be deleted using the ... (three-dot menu) on the profile page.

  • Merging: Merging is not necessary for companies. Since each profile is tied to a unique email domain, duplicates are automatically prevented.

  • Generic Emails: If a contact uses a generic email address (@gmail.com, etc.), they will be created as a person record without being associated with a company profile.
