While Klipy offers many direct integrations, its true power is unlocked when you connect it to the rest of your software stack.

Workflow automation platforms are the "digital glue" that lets you connect Klipy to thousands of other applications - from project management tools and marketing platforms to accounting software and beyond - even if they don't have a direct, native integration.

This allows you to build powerful, custom workflows that automate repetitive tasks, save time, and ensure data flows seamlessly between the tools you use every day.

How It Works: Triggers and Actions

These platforms operate on a simple but powerful principle: Triggers and Actions. You don't need to be a developer to use them; they provide a visual, user-friendly interface to build these connections.

  • Trigger: A "Trigger" is an event that happens in one application which starts the automation.

    • Example: A new meeting summary is generated in Klipy.

  • Action: An "Action" is the resulting event that the workflow automatically performs in another application.

    • Example: Create a new task in Asana containing the meeting summary and action items.

Under the hood, these platforms use Klipy's robust API and Webhooks (covered in section R5.6) to listen for triggers and execute actions.

However, you never have to write a single line of code. You simply choose your trigger and action from a dropdown menu.

What Can You Build?

The possibilities are nearly endless. By connecting Klipy as either a trigger or an action, you can automate critical business processes.

  • Automate Lead Capture:

    • When a new lead fills out a form on your website (Typeform, Google Forms), automatically create a new Contact in Klipy and assign it to a team member.

  • Streamline Post-Sale Workflows:

    • When a deal's status is updated to "Won" in Klipy, automatically create a new client project in Trello, generate an invoice in QuickBooks, and add the customer to your "Welcome" sequence in Mailchimp.

  • Distribute Meeting Insights:

    • When a new meeting summary is created in Klipy, automatically post the key takeaways to a specific Slack channel and add the action items to a shared Google Sheet.
